Beyond . . .

Llwchwr Ministry Area is important, but there is a wider Christian world outside!  This page does some explaining and gives you some links (where words are a different colour, click on them to go to another website).

The Llwchwr MA Churches are part of the Church in Wales (Anglican, Episcopalian, – the “Church of England” in Wales).  That is also part of the Anglican Communion, a family of Churches with the Archbishop of Canterbury as “first among equals”.

swansea-brecon-300x266On a smaller scale, the Llwchwr MA Churches are part of the Area Deanery of Greater Gower, where the Rev Canon Peter Brooks leads, and the Archdeaconry of Gower, with the Ven Jonathan Davies as Archdeacon, under the Bishop of Swansea and Brecon, (and Archbishop of Wales), the Most Rev John DE Davies.

We keep in touch with the Christian world through mission agencies – the Church Mission Society and USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel) are among the oldest.  Mission at home is encouraged by the Church Army and CPAS, while organisations like the Bible Reading Fellowship and Scripture Union provide some excellent resources.

There are many others! – my personal interests include SAT-7, which broadcasts programmes made and controlled by local Christians of different traditions to the Middle East and North Africa (now including SAT-7 Academy, educational programmes aimed at some 21 million displaced children!); and Christians Against Poverty, which works in Swansea as throughout the UK and in several other countries to give practical help to those in debt, unemployment, or addiction.

The webmaster of this site, Andrew Knight, also has a personal website (click for the link) with comments on the set readings each week, other links, and information on dialogue sketches.
