Coronavirus: From mid March, all Church services and meetings have been suspended. We recognise the need to protect other members of our communities by protecting ourselves from catching and spreading infection. We hope to open church buildings to allow individuals access for prayer and reflection, and to offer both recorded services ( such as those at https://parish.churchinwales.org.uk/s243/service-recordings/ ) and live events over the internet.

SUSPENDED ACTIVITIES:

Lent 2020.  (Apologies, the 2019 notice overstayed its welcome!).
There will be a 6 week Lent Course, following the film “The King’s Speech”,  in St Barnabas’ Waunarlwydd, starting on Shrove Tuesday, 25th February.  This follows the course 2 years ago on “Chocolat”, which was enjoyed and appreciated.
There will also be a more traditional service (probably Compline and Address, perhaps with some Taize music) in St David’s Loughor.  The service will start at 8pm and last less than an hour, but you are welcome from 7.30.  This is not an alternative – think about going to both, or prioritise the Tuesday.

Open the Book. The Parishes of Loughor and Gorseinon, shortly to become one Benefice, have a team trained and waiting to begin Open the Book Bible storytelling sessions in a Primary School.  Waunarlwydd already have an established team, and there is some other activity. Watch this space!

Joint Ministry Area Evening Praise Services. These continue – see the calendar for locations and dates (usually Tuesday evening, 7.15pm).
